Starting a diorama/room

As it is unlikely that will ever own a TBS house I've decided to make a room for them to set up the furniture in. 

Here is the basic model.

It's not perfect, but think it will be quite a good room once it's properly dry. 

TBS furniture & Bärenwald/TBW

I had the opportunity to photograph some Teddy Bear Story furniture next to my Bärenwald & Teddy Bear World figures. I like the size of the TBS furniture for the SIMBA bears better than their own furniture which I believe is the same size as Forest Familes/Forest Friends furniture. 

The kitchen dresser/hutch. I would love to own a real full size one of these! 

A TSB dining chair. 

Sitting as only a teddy can. 

TBS Granny is similar sized. 

Teddy Bear World babies on the chair & in the TBS cradle. 

Can't wait to get more TBS furniture , hopefully enough to furnish a basic house :) 

Comparing Bärenwald & Teddy Bear Story

Here are 3 adult figures from Bärenwald, Teddy Bear Story, & Teddy Bear World. 

As you can see they are a similar height, but quite different shaped faces & different colour flocking.

A parcel from the other side of the world!

I recently received a trade parcel from the lovely Rosie in the Netherlands. It contained some Bärenwald & Teddy Bear World (both made by SIMBA in the 1980s & 90s) 

Here are the Bärenwald mother (red dress), Teddy Bear story granny, & in box Bride & Groom. Notice the difference in shade of flocking.

More interesting information

Well this week I've discovered yet another bear series made by Sekiguchi, "Blisswood Bears" distributed in England by Ovation. 

Also the Toy Museum in Japan has Teddy Bear Story  rabbits!! 

Last but certainly not least, an artist in England drew scratches of some Blisswood/The Bear Story bears

It certainly has been a week full of information!! 

Website updates

Those of you who have been checking the new website may have noticed it seems to look a bit different every day. 

You will be pleased to hear I have finally decided on a theme & layout! 

Also I am still going to be constantly updating the website as I am finding  out more about the series all the time.

Cuteness

Look who has joined the bears in my Teddy Story collection. I've found out the gardening mole is called Moe, but I have no idea what the sleepy pj mole's name is!

Is a collection of flocked animals from the 1980s similar to Sylvanian Families, Forest Families, Bärenwald & Teddy Bear Story. Each of these series have many differences though. Tierwelt has some of the tallest figures. 

I have 3 of the dogs, the Mother & 2 children. 

There are also brown bears, panda bears, monkeys/apes, elephants, & possibly moles.

A new collection! My "Teddy Bear Story"

Recently I've discovered a collection of flocked animals called "Teddy Bear Story" 

Here is an advertisement from the 80s. 

They are so cute!! 

I hope to be able to collect them all. Which might be quite difficult as they aren't available in toy shops anymore. 

I'll add more photos as my collection grows!
